Elders:
The Gathering acknowledges the Lord Jesus Christ as its head who ultimately rules over the church (Eph. 1:22-23; Col. 1:18). Christ mediates His ruling authority in the church through godly servant-leaders. Elders are entrusted by the Holy Spirit with the responsibility of overseeing and shepherding the flock of God. All of the Elders are pastors of the congregation, who also meet regularly to pray and provide spiritual oversight on matters concerning the church. All Elders meet the stated qualifications for this office, as laid out in 1 Timothy 3 and Titus 1.
The Gathering's Elders are Mike Newman, Peter Leeper, and Paul Allen.

Deacons:
Deacons are recognized servant leaders of the church as evidenced by the meaning of the word, “deacon” itself which means “servant.” While Elders pray, teach and oversee, deacons are ministers of mercy that meet practical needs of the people of God and her resources. The qualifications for deacons are nearly identical to Elders with the exception of teaching and preaching responsibilities. These qualifications are listed in 1 Timothy 3:8-13. Organization and leadership structure of the deacons is at the discretion of the elders.
